I ran a chkdsk anyways, and my hard drives were fine except for my external which I don't run games off of (And it's years old anyway.). In task manager, RAM is usually around 2.0 GB. At this point we have no idea as to what could be causing this laptop to run as slow as before the operating system was installed.Please help if you can.As for What's the cpu usage when the computer is idle?

I assume the same happens with laptops, except laptops havnt got the spare resources in the first place. Just curious when exactly did this happen and what is performance like in games you have previously ran.
