- They are used for other programs.
- could not get download to start.
- It keeps asking for the product key.
- Before I go on, I want to point out that the command prompt environment used by the Recovery Console is different than the one that is accessible through Windows.
- The procedure and files are available on the web (after much searching and sorting).
- When this happens, using Safe Mode won't help.
- The friend system is HP, which I assume is using HP special version of the os.

So now I have bought the recovery disks and paid three times the amount for a HDD than what it is over the counter and the Recovery disks will NOT work

The computer was preloaded with the software and there is sticker with the XP product code on the computer, but nothing for the Microsoft Office software. his comment is here I have as of today 32 Emails to tech support with the same issues and no resolve.
