now that i see that you are installing "win xpsp3" on the computer, i assume that you will have to install a lot of additional windows updates, after that.. A friend needed XP installed, so I did with a brand new hard drive. So even thou SP3 comes with IE6 (which MS is trying to phase out), they phased it out on their update site. The easiest workaround, other than using Internet Explorer, is to copy the text to Notepad and save it as a batch (.bat) file rather than as a default text (.txt) file.When Thank you for all your help.
